We collect professional initiatives for further analysis, discussion on the platform of the NGO "Themis PRO" and use in the preparation of recommendations and analytical materials.
We publish practical explanations, analytics, and educational materials about citizens' rights, the work of the judicial system, and current changes in legislation. A separate area: historical texts and research on the history of law and statehood in Ukraine. The purpose of the block: to improve legal culture and provide understandable tools for protecting rights.
FEMIDA PRO unites judges, lawyers, scientists and specialists in the field of public administration. The common goal of the organization: the development of Ukraine as a modern European legal state, in which justice is independent, the judicial system works professionally and is accountable to society, and human rights are recognized as an unconditional value.
The organization is headed by Viktor Shishkin,ukrainian jurist, statesman and public figure, Candidate of Law, Honored Lawyer of Ukraine.
The activities of FEMIDA PRO are aimed at strengthening the rule of law and democratic values in Ukraine. The focus is on the protection of human rights, trust in justice and the quality of state decisions. We support approaches that enhance fairness, integrity and transparency in the work of state authorities, as well as promote clear and predictable rules for citizens and the professional community.
FEMIDA PRO operates an open platform for professional discussions, analytics, and research. It is focused on practical results: identifying problems, forming reasoned positions, preparing proposals for improving legislation and law enforcement. The organization's public materials are aimed at ensuring that complex legal topics have a clear structure, conceptualization, and understandable conclusions.
We implement projects and initiatives in the following areas:
Constitutional law: analysis of the constitutional foundations of state structure, guarantees of rights and freedoms, interaction of institutions, and principles of accountability of government to society. This area covers issues that affect the stability of state mechanisms and legal certainty.
Judicial reform: issues of the quality of the judicial system, judicial independence, professional standards and public trust in justice. The focus also includes the efficiency of procedures, transparency of decisions and approaches to accountability that strengthen the legitimacy of the judiciary.
Military justice: legal guarantees and instruments of protection in conditions of war and martial law, taking into account the rights of military personnel and civilians. The direction includes issues of fair consideration of disputes, legal certainty and practical mechanisms of legal protection.
Legal education: increasing legal awareness of citizens and developing legal culture. Materials are prepared with an orientation towards practical application so that the reader can better understand their rights and the work of state institutions.
International cooperation: professional exchange and interaction for the purpose of implementing standards that meet European approaches to justice and public administration. The direction contributes to the harmonization of legal practices with the values of a democratic state based on the rule of law.
The website has a section called "Society Initiative", where you can submit proposals on current legal issues in Ukraine. We encourage high-quality initiatives that have a clearly described problem, the logic of the solution, and the expected result. Such appeals help to form a meaningful agenda for professional discussion and further analytical work.
If you suggest changes or improvements, it is advisable to indicate:
What problem do you see?
Who does it affect?
What outcome should the proposed solution achieve?
What needs to be changed at the procedural, practice or regulatory level?
The legal education block contains practical explanations, analytical materials and texts that help to better navigate legal issues, the work of the judicial system and changes in legislation. A separate direction of the block is historical materials and research on the history of law and statehood of Ukraine. Such a selection provides a broader context for understanding modern legal processes.
The materials of the FEMIDA PRO will be useful to:
lawyers and scholars working with constitutional, judicial and administrative issues;
representatives of state administration and local self-government;
journalists and researchers covering legal topics;
students of legal and socio-political specialties;
citizens seeking to understand the mechanisms of rights protection and the principles of the work of justice.
The Femida PRO NGO is open to professional cooperation, meaningful initiatives and partnership projects in the areas of constitutional law, judicial reform, military justice, legal education and international cooperation. If you have suggestions for discussion or materials for publication, please use the appropriate block on the website.
